About R-410A Refrigerant

R-410A is a hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) refrigerant widely used in compatible air-conditioning and heat-pump systems. It was adopted as an alternative to R-22 in many applications because it does not contain ozone-depleting substances.

R-410A has minimal temperature glide and is designed for systems engineered specifically for its operating characteristics. Because it operates at significantly higher pressures than R-22, R-410A is not a drop-in replacement for R-22 and should only be used in equipment specifically designed and approved for R-410A.
